Production Engineer

Location: Jedburg, SC

Pay: $63,000-$75,000 per year

Shift: 1st shift

Key Responsibilities

Wiring & Assembly Process Development
Develop and optimize wiring layouts for marine boat consoles.
Create AutoCAD drawings, wiring schematics, and assembly instructions.
Standardize and document wiring processes to improve quality and reduce rework.
Production Engineering Support
Design and refine production line configurations using CAD tools.
Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.
Work with technicians to troubleshoot and support wiring installations and electrical testing.

Automation & Robotics

Program and troubleshoot robotic systems used in the manufacturing process (if applicable).
Collaborate with automation and maintenance teams to improve uptime and reliability.
Project Scheduling & Team Collaboration
Plan and coordinate engineering tasks to align with production schedules.
Partner with design, quality, and assembly teams to meet production and safety goals.
Provide training and support to wiring and assembly teams on new processes or systems.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all wiring and assembly procedures comply with marine safety standards (e.g., ABYC, USCG).
Support quality assurance in identifying root causes of defects and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field highly preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD required; AutoCAD Electrical a strong plus.
Hands-on experience with marine wiring, console assembly, or related manufacturing.
Familiarity with project scheduling tools and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with robotic systems or automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Understanding of DC electrical systems, marine safety standards, and wiring practices.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
